My girl is a really big Disney fan. Which really isn't a bad thing (despite your implications to the contrary, Ditzy!). She also quite enjoys ice skating--something we've only done once together and really should do again except that there really isn't a convenient place around here to do so. Any . . . ()

My girl and I wandered out to the Monterey Bay Aquarium today. You may recall that I went there a little over a year ago (if not, I'll remind you here). Unfortunately, they had to release their latest White shark (the third to be housed there) a week or so ago, which means I missed it. Not too bi . . . ()

Last night I went ice skating. Yes, ice skating. Something I haven't done in at least 25 years. So I am sure that it was quite entertaining to those watching. Though not that exciting, as I am proud to say not once did anything other than my skates hit the ice. Which was very good, since there . . . ()

Last weekend was the Salinas International Airshow. It's a pretty impressive show most of the time, even though I haven't been in quite a few years. Traditionally, they've had one "big act" every year . . . the Canadian Snowbirds, the US Air Force Thunderbirds, or the US Navy Blue Angels. Back in . . . ()

Well, not really a return. A tad over two years ago, the Monterey Bay Aquarium was fortunate enough to host a young Great White Shark. It made the news pretty big, since it was the first time ever that a White Shark had survived more than, like, 14 days or somesuch in captivity. She was there for . . . ()

Just to let y'all know, I'm probably going to be somewhat scarce over the next couple weeks. The new job starts tomorrow (yeah, speedy). And I'm dog sitting for both my folks & sister, which means that much of my time will be occupied accommodating 4 very needy & demanding canines. So, catch ya l . . . ()

This time of year is the annual Northern California Renaissance Faire. It's a thoroughly enjoyable event, with lots of crafty-type vendors (meaning they sell crafts and such, not that the vendors themselves are crafty and shady), various entertainers, overpriced food, lovely ladies in corsettes and . . . My weekend was filled with activity. Which is a good excuse as to why I wasn't blogging. Of course, even if I hadn't been busy, I probably wouldn't have been blogging. Because really, I haven't had much to blog about. But then I had a busy weekend, which gives me something to blog about. So I g . . . ()

Yes, I realize most of you aren't local. And yes, I realize that means that this little tidbit is completely irrelevant to you. However, for any of you who happen to be in the Monterey, CA area this weekend, you must pay attention. Yes, that's an order. Click on the image to imbiggin the flyer . . . ()

So I got this wild hair to rip my entire CD collection to MP3s. I'm not really sure why I decided to do it, but the decision was made and there's no turning back now. Are you aware that it takes a very long time to rip 151 CDs to MP3?
